Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large baguette
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tsp freshly minced garlic
- ½ tsp sea salt flakes
- 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley
- 4 tbsp freshly grated mozzarella (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) (180°C/350°F fan-forced).
- Cut the baguette in half, then slice the bread into 2 cm (3/4 inch) thick slices, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Combine the butter, garlic, salt and parsley in a small bowl.
- Spread the butter mixture over each side of the bread slices.
- Stuff a pinch of mozzarella between each bread slice, if using.
- Wrap each baguette half in foil (see below for freezing instructions).
- If serving immediately, bake the foil-wrapped garlic bread for 15–18 minutes until golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Notes
MAKE AHEAD
