The ultimate fridge-door hero – 5-minute honey mustard dipping sauce that goes with literally everything (and yes, it’s better than store-bought!).

You know when dinner’s ready but it feels a bit … unexciting? Enter this Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce. It’s the kind of magic you stir together in 5 minutes and suddenly your nuggets, chicken tenders, potato wedges or chicken wraps taste like something from a restaurant.

Thick, creamy and clingy in the best way – perfect for dunking, drizzling or spreading.

Whether you’re feeding kids who want “all the sauce”, or throwing together a quick lunch bowl for yourself, this one’s a game-changer. Creamy mayo, punchy mustards, sweet honey, and a splash of vinegar for balance. It’s tangy, rich, just the right amount of fancy – and way better than anything from a store-bought squeezy bottle.

Make it once and I guarantee you’ll be looking for excuses to dunk everything in it – fries, grilled chicken, veggies … even sandwiches. This is the sort of fridge staple that makes a meal without making a mess. Perfect for busy weeknights, lunchboxes, barbecue spreads, or just keeping your snack plate interesting. Because let’s be honest – sauce is half the reason we’re here.

You can see the creamy texture and mustard flecks – this is the stuff you’ll want to eat off the spoon.

Can I make this ahead of time?

Yes – it keeps really well in the fridge for up to a week. In fact, the flavour gets even better after a few hours.

What’s the best mayo to use?

Whole-egg mayonnaise works best here. It gives the sauce body and richness. Kewpie will be a bit sweeter but still works if that’s what you’ve got.

Just the right balance of sweet, tangy and creamy – it gives ordinary meals that little something extra.

What if I don’t have both types of mustard?

You can use all dijon or all wholegrain mustard if that’s what’s in your fridge – it’ll still be delicious. The combo adds extra flavour and texture, but it’s flexible.

Is this kid-friendly?

Very. It’s creamy and lightly sweet with just a gentle tang. Most kids love it – especially if they’re nugget fans.

Crispy chicken + this sauce = fakeaway vibes at home with barely any effort. Dinner, sorted.

Can I use this as a salad dressing?

Absolutely! Just thin it out with 1–2 tablespoons of water or olive oil and give it a whisk. Great with leafy greens, roasted veggies or grilled chicken.
