Peri-Peri Style Chicken Burgers

Another delicious fakeaway recipe! My peri-peri style chicken burgers put a spicy twist on the classic chicken burger. Just imagine the taste of juicy marinated chicken breast fillets with crisp, tangy coleslaw and a splash of your favourite hot sauce on a soft bread roll – heaven! Great for entertaining or devouring as a fun family meal.

  • Serves: 4 1x


  • 2 chicken breasts, halved lengthways (to make 4 steaks)
  • 4 bread rolls
  • Coleslaw to serve
  • Hot sauce to serve


  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil


  1. Place the chicken in a medium-sized bowl along with the marinade ingredients. Use your hands to coat.
  2. Heat a large skillet on medium heat and cook the chicken for 8-10 minutes. Turn once halfway and add 1/4 cup of water to help loosen the crispy bits.
  3. Serve the chicken topped with coleslaw on bread rolls.


MAKE AHEAD – Marinate the chicken and refrigerate for up to three days before cooking. Freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw completely in the fridge overnight before cooking.

LEFTOVERS – Refrigerate for up to 3 days. Microwave to reheat. Not suitable to freeze.
