I always make extra rice when I’m cooking it for a dish and either freeze the additional rice for a later meal (rice freezes beautifully, and you can defrost it quickly in the microwave!) or save the leftovers for this Easy Fried Rice recipe. The kids love it, and it makes for a super quick lunch or the perfect side to an Asian-inspired dinner. This recipe uses simple ingredients that you may already have at home, yet it packs a ton of flavour, making it one of the BEST fried rice recipes you will try. This dish is also great for customising; add different veggies or protein depending on what you prefer.

Omg, I love the taste and simplicity of this fried rice recipe! It’s the BEST and will be my go to from now on. Note: I didn’t have bacon on hand and replaced it with one Chinese sausage and added ground beef, which works just fine. Thank you, Nicole!

When I saw a recipe for fried rice, I thought I really didn’t need a recipe… I know how to make that! But I tend to overcomplicate recipes, so decided to give this one a go. Um… YUM! It’s the best! Simple, but so very tasty! My kids love this one too.
